And when you pray... 1/22/23

Weekly Memory Verse: "Pray then like this: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, you will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." - Matthew 6:9-13

Sermon Scripture Reading: Philippians 4:4-7

-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON- And when you pray...

Dear River Family,

This Sunday, we are looking forward to continuing in the sermon on the mount. Focusing on prayer. Read Matthew 6:1-15

As you read through this section,

Consider who Jesus says not to be like or pray like. How does Jesus instruct us to pray. (verse 6 & 9-13)

How would you describe your prayer life? In what ways do you desire to become more of a prayerful person?

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.

Grace and Peace,

Eric
