Waiting with Great Anticipation. 12/25/22

Weekly Memory Verse: "Wait for the Lord ; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" - Psalm 27:14

Sermon Scripture Reading: Isaiah 9:2-7

-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON- Jesus says - Love your enemies and pray for you persecutors.

Dear River Family,

Looking forward to worshipping with you on Christmas day this Sunday. Remember, we are meeting at 11:00 am.

We live in a day in which we do not like to wait. We are terrible at waiting. In our minds, everything is too slow - the grocery line, the bank drive through, fast food, and even our one year old phones.

The way most of us celebrate Christmas and carry out our traditions involves waiting. Some things are well worth the wait and some - not so much.

Read Luke 2:1-35

Who was waiting? What was he waiting for? What was his response when he found what he was waiting for?

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.

Grace and Peace,

Eric
